The Tapps

These are the Tapps. I met Caroline a few years ago through our local Orangetheory studio. She was working the front desk at the time and was always the friendliest face to see as I entered the studio. It was always fun to see her in class, too! Fast forward to October 2024; Caroline has an amazing job as curator for the Air and Space Museum, no longer working at Orangetheory, but still showing up as a member taking classes right alongside me. At the end of class, she pulled me aside, shared her secret that she was 10 weeks pregnant, and asked if I was taking clients and hoping to do a maternity session sometime in the spring. This, of course, was an immediate yes for me!

Seven months later, after a few blips in the road (because as we all know, life is not perfect), the stars aligned, and we were able to have the most dreamy maternity session together. Caroline and Ross have such special routines and rituals as a family of two (plus, of course, their special fur baby Hedy Lamar), and it was such a joy to capture them in this stage of their life, as they enjoy each other's company and the anticipation of their baby girl’s arrival.

From the moment I stepped into their home, I could feel the love they have for one another and for the baby girl to come. Their evening tea and whiskey ritual, trivia sessions, evening walks, and lots of daydreaming of the joy and hardship that awaits them, were so beautiful to witness. Caroline described this chapter as "exhilarating," and that feeling truly permeated our session.

Being present and living in the moment that you are in right now makes these moments so incredibly beautiful. And I’m so glad to have had the honor of being the one to capture it for them. I can’t wait for you to share it with your little one, coming soon! You are deserving of witnessing your own everyday beauty. Here is yours, Caroline and Ross.
