Usry Christmas 2023
This year is our final Christmas as a family of three! We stayed home for the holidays and had a very relaxing and cozy Christmas with our pup, Tori. This made decorating extra fun since we knew we’d be home for the full holiday season to enjoy them! Here’s a few of my favorite decorated areas in the house.
Every year since we moved in together, we’ve always had a fake tree with lights in our house. This has usually been our primary tree and has had many different ornaments over the years. This year, we decided to upgrade our ornaments from cheap plastic ornaments we got from Target during our first Christmas together, to a beautiful set from Balsam Hill - we got the Coastal Chic Ornament Set that we saw in a catalog and I became obsessed with. 😍
We have some other favorite ornaments on this tree as well that we’ve collected over the years, but the Coastal Chic set was the main draw of the tree! We loved it, and hope to get a snow flocked Christmas tree next year to help them pop even more! Of course, Tori has to be the center of attention and decided to get in on one of the photos.
Last year, we got a real tree for the first time. We went a little too late in the season and got a tree that was a little too large for our house. We had to cut off some of the top to help it fit in the space! Unsure of whether it was worth it or not… we decided to try again this year. Though this time, we went much earlier in the season, and reserved a tree online that would be a good height for our house. And… it was absolutely perfect!
This ornament set is also from Balsam Hill - the Nordic Frost Ornament Set. This set of ornaments was a Christmas gift my husband, Tom, got me last year. We absolutely love this set and adore the classic look it gives our real tree. Tom’s mom helped me decorate this year and we think it turned out beautiful!
Christmas wouldn’t be complete without our annual Usry family photo in front of the Christmas tree. Still to be determined whether Tori really wanted to be in the photo or not…
